The Old Ones Return

Another piece executed in the newer painterly/naturalist style emphasizing mood, light, and atmosphere over detail and render. This was just a personal experiment piece (never painted a real Cthulhu before), but I'm excited to have a few commissioned illustrations using the new approach lined up. I'll be posting as they go public :)

I just found this painting while looking for Cthulhu art, and I had to pipe in real quick and tell you how absolutely amazing it is. Truly stunning and emotionally stirring imagery.
